Skulltoboggan - "The Bottom Heavy Groove That Makes Your Ass Move"

Born deep in the mountains of Rock and Roll on August 1, 1998, Skulltoboggan immediately began its descent upon the masses to unleash its furious mixture of hard rock, metal, stoner rock, punk, surfer rock and hardcore. Founding members Craig "G*Spawt" Gaumond (Lead Vocals) and Robert "SkullBob" Eurenius (Guitar, Backing Vocals) had a mission, and that was to deliver a brand of music that would be fresh, furious, and unforgettable. Dirtnap Entertainment Recordings made this discovery, and Skulltoboggan was the first act signed to its newly formed label. Once signed to this independent record deal in 2000, music fans everywhere began to take notice of Skulltoboggan. Dubbed by a loyal "Sledhed" as "Alcoporngroovecore," this eclectic collection of musicians, in various forms, have been assaulting venues and airwaves with regularity and show no signs of slowing down anytime in the near future. Skulltoboggan has earned their reputation as one of the hardest working bands in the business.
Joining "GSpawt" is Eric "E-Dawg" Corbett on Bass Guitar and Backing Vocals. "E-Dawg" is the utility man of the bunch, playing in both his current position and spending three years on the throne as well. In addition, "E-Dawg" also creates much of the artwork that appears on Skulltoboggan CDs, merchandise and promotional items. The year 2008 brought three lineup changes to the band. First, once "E-Dawg" vacated the position of the Drums, long time Road Crew member Jay "Lefty" O'Dell earned the gig after a very successful audition process in which he beat out several excellent candidates. "Lefty" brings an adventurous and inventive style that allows the band to expand into new regions. Paired with "E-Dawg," this lethal combination truly provides "The Bottom Heavy Groove That Makes Your Ass Move." The final piece that was needed to complete the puzzle was a gifted musician who returned for his second tour of duty with Skulltoboggan. Jefferson "Latka" Bourguignon was brought back into the lineup to complete this stellar cast. The third lineup change was the announcement of co-founding member "SkullBob" taking an indefinite hiatus from the band in August 2008. We wish him well, and we're sure our paths will meet again in the future. And there you have it! Undoubtedly, the most solid collection of madmen ever assembled in the toboggan. You have been warned!
