Skull X-ray Images

are the left side of the right side is the same with or radiologic technologist is the mirror image to them?
my mother had had a mastoid X-ray this morning. and during the process, the radiology technician puts an "R" mark on the right side of the head of my mother every time it is exposed to the beam. But when the left side of my mother's head under consideration, the technician placed the "R" mark which I think is wrong. When I asked why put the mark, knowing that the side is the left side, he replied that only radtechs know why. RadTech is the right to put the "R" mark on the left side of my mother's head? im confused. thanks! one more thing, is the skull x-ray of the same with xray mastoid? my mom is a doctor requested for an X-mastoid, but I saw the technician to press the option rad skull in the machine (there is an option too but chosed mastoid the skull)
Radiologists make one side of the body with a lead marker to distinguish between left and right. This may not correspond to the zone of injury, but as long as the correct side is marked with the correct score all is well. The button technique for examination and the name does not mean as much as the configuration behind it. Skull and mastoid process to use a similar setup. I would say everything is fine with what happened but it is good to try and care.
